Reitumetse is a 7-year-old farmer. A grade 2 learner at Legora Primary School. She also loves Modeling. "I'm a finalist for Little Miss Denlyn Mall, and I'm starting a charity drive where I'll be sharing my love and knowledge for farming with other kids", she said.
"Watering mini-farm is a very important job because if I don't, my babies will die", she added. At a young age, Reitumetse is already passionate about farming. Farming can be too demanding but to her it's something that she enjoys and balance it very well with her school work.
"My favorite breakfast to eat before a big day on the farm is Oats. Getting muddy is always the way. Muddy fingers and boots are a sign that you mean serious business", she said.
Seeing young people getting involved in agriculture shows that as a country we are going somewhere. These young people need support, especially from our government to help them grow. They need to be taken care of, because they are our future.
"So far the hardest thing to grow is cabbage and beetroot because they are sweet. They always get eaten by birds and bugs before they can grow", she concluded.
